A another summer week in Rochester, another seven local acts you don’t want to miss:

California Cousins

Influenced from genres ranging from emo to pop punk, California Cousins create a sound that resembles a mix of hardcore and punk rock. They will be playing with Modern Baseball, Tiny Moving Parts, The Hotelier, and Sorority Noise Tuesday June 10th at Montage Music Hall.

An alternative indie rock band that will put you into a dream state, Maybird is playing with a stacked show of outside talent that will be hard to miss. They will be playing with Saint Seneca (Columbus OH), Gringo Star (Atlanta GA), and Memory Map (Bloomington IN) Tuesday June 10th at Bug Jar.

Seth Faergolzia and Heck Up!

Seth Faergolzia is back from his European tour and ready to up Meddlesome Lab. The brainchild behind bands like 23 Psaegz, Seth’s unique folky sound is something everyone can enjoy. He will be playing Tuesday June 10th with Father Murphy (Italy), Colonel Parmisan, and Yarms from Sparx and Yarms.

Feel good indie rock that will have you dancing throughout the entire set. There is no such thing as a band time when you go to see these guys, Scope and Figure will be performing with The Features (Nashville TN) and The Results at Bug Jar Wednesday June 11th.

The Results


Original Rochester rock n Roll The Results shows usually end up with the whole crowd on stage, a good amount of beer and a blown out eardrum. There shows have been responsible for 3 out of the last 4 broken cameras at the Insomniac. They will also be playing Wednesday with Scope and Figure and The Features at Bug Jar Wednesday June 11th.

Rotten (UK)

There is not much more punk in Rochester then a summer lodge show with Rotten.  Rotten will be playing at the Ok Tree Lodge Saturday June 14th at Powder Mill Park with Midnight and Shitfucker.  Its a hell of a time your not going to want to miss.

King Buffalo

Rising like a phoenix from the ashes of Velvet Elvis and Abandoned Buildings Club this psychedelic blues band is one you don’t want to miss. They will be playing The Armory June 14th with Geezer, Triglactagon, The Red Lion and In Downey is Famous. It is going to be their last show until the end of August so you don’t want to miss out.
