If you want to start your week off right go see Inquitious Deeds. They are a brutal death metal band with gutteral vocals, ripping guitar and bass heavier than your ex girlfriend. Get ready to head bang yourself into a coma and burn down some churches. Inquitious Deeds plays the Benefit Show for Adam Dumka with Abdicate, Inhumatus, Sustruga, Highest Leviathan at The Bug Jar tonight at 9pm.
Mighty High and Dry
After sacrificing a goat to Inquitious Deeds you might need a break. Look no farther than Abilene Bar and Lounge when the Mighty High and Dry plays January 5th. Part soul part blues this band will keep you grooving throughout the night. What a better place to spend a winter Tuesday night than listening to blues warming up at Ablene’s with a good cocktail.
The Bygone Few
Nothing gets you energized to get you through the rest of the week than some good, heavy, stoner rock. Female fronted in your face rock band, Bygone Few’s heavily distorted upbeat tempo will infest your ears drums and remain their the rest of the night. The Bygone Few play January 7th with Miles Down Below at The Bug Jar.
The slick talking, verbal assassin, Moses Rockwell is one of our favoriote hip hop artists in Rochester. A true master of his craft his shows are always something to be reckoned with. Moses Rockwell is hitting the stage at Firehouse Saloon with Cantelope, The Temptators, Dark Chary and the Tombstones, and Wyatt Coin this Friday the 9th brought to you by The Rochester Insomniac.
Muler has been putting out music since 1994 so if you havent seen them preform yet you are failing at life. If you have seen them they are worth seeing again because they seen to evolve and grow with every preformance and always put on a suburb show. They are the perfect indie band to start the weekend off right. Muler is playing with Echohead (Album Release) and Periodic Table of Elephants at Bug Jar Friday the 8th.
Doc Bakers Traveling Musical Extravaganza
Doc Bakers Traveling Musical Extravaganza has talent longer than their name. Classic Americana folk with a twist of garage rock, Ben Baker’s vocals and guitar are absolutely stunning, you will be completely enveloped and locked into your seat for the entire performance. If a calm night with Americana folk is not up your alley how about face melting rock and roll? Eddie Nebula’s over the top out of this world band Dark Nemeis is about to abduct your ears drums and run experiments on them this Saturday night at The Firehouse Saloon. Get ready for shredding guitar solos, chanting lyrics, and brain stem pounding drums while fist pumping with one hand and chugging genny in the other.
