One of Rochester’s most beloved bands. Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad is the quintessential feel-good sound. A laid back, red-eyed, ego shattering jam band that envelopes you. A good trip transformed into sound for your recreational enjoyment. Catch GPGDS January 12th at Flower City Station. They will be performing with Borg Party, Dopapod, Turkuaz, and Aqueous.

The mythological Silverfish is back. Self-described as Progressive Narration. Their music sounds like the soundtrack to a cyberpunk fairy-tale. This is a reunion show that should not be missed. On January 13th Silverfish arises like a dragon from the subway system. They descend on Bug Jar with Joe Clark and Rash.

The Beaumonts

A no holds bar ska band with a splash of jazz. The Beaumonts soaring horn section is a good way to start the weekend off. It is a night filled with lighthearted tunes to warm the body and the soul. The Beaumonts perform January 13th with Stay The Plow at Loving Cup.

Grammy-nominated Mike Brown is keeping the spirit of the traveler alive. His music brings you on a journey through roadside diners, back roads, and forgotten destinations. His folk tunes personify the open road. An Americana sound is unique but feels oddly familiar. You can catch this at Three Heads Brewing Friday, January 13th.

Part electronic rock part fear mongering propaganda. Komrads’ music would be fitting for a Gasper Noe film. Its is a terrifying retro shock to the senses. Go to this show if you are ready to get weird. Komrads performs alongside Sirens and Stilettos at Bug Jar January 14th.

Super sludgy Rochester doom metal. Goron is a face-melting roller coaster of sound. There is no need to play this band backward to hear the devil. He is the front-man.
